Abiding as God’s Masterpiece

“​For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” –Ephesians 2:10 NLT

Mindless wandering through life is not an option for a Christian believer.  God does not create without purpose. An abiding relationship is based on the Creator giving his creation free will to have an abiding relationship with Him.  Our Creator has plans for his masterpieces. 

Question: Do I have such a intimate relationship(abiding) or with my Creator in which I know my God-given purpose?

As a masterpiece, the Creator decides the purpose of his creation. Submission to the Creator’s molding allows the masterpiece to discover its’ designed function. When the masterpiece is remolded through Jesus, it is no longer just a lump of clay, blank canvas, or a block of wood. The item is being formed and fashioned into something more beautiful than in its’ prior state.

Throughout its’ life it will go under shaping causing some uncomfortable situations. Sometimes intense heat will stablize and stregthen the masterpiece. Shaping and heat will not always be pleasant.Without the tweeks to the masterpiece, it could mean disaster to the masterpiece. 

Out of immense love by the Creator, He wants develop a relationship and see the most usefulness out of his creation. This relationship between the Creator and the creation was planned long ago. If the Creator knew his creation so intimately before the creation was made, then how the creation should respond back? The proper response should be out of free will. True abiding love is a choice.  Never forced. 

An daily intimate relationship with the Creator will result in finding our purpose. The purpose will draw us closer day by day to our Creator.
